The organization has placed large white placards behind three such statues with the slogan "Sexual Harassment Leaves A Mark" to raise awareness about the prevalence of sexual harassment against women.
The women's rights organization Terre des Femmes launched a campaign called "Unsilence the violence" to raise awareness about sexual harassment.
They placed placards behind statues of women in Munich, Bremen, and Berlin.
The statues, which include Juliet Capulet, the "Youth," and "Frau Rhein," have had their breasts lightened, indicating where they are frequently touched.
The group reported that two out of three women experience sexual harassment in their lives.
Terre des Femmes, an organization, released a statement expressing concern over the issue of sexual harassment being trivialised or ignored.
They specifically referred to three statues where the women's breasts have a brighter shine due to frequent touching.
The group believes these statues symbolize decades of assaults by passersby and emphasized the importance of listening to victims and holding perpetrators accountable.
