The attacks occurred near Clifton House and Arnold Circus. The 44-year-old female victim suffered a head injury, while the 20-year-old male was hurt in the neck. Both have been released from the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Metropolitan Police, led by DCS James Conway, are conducting "urgent" investigations to apprehend the assailant, utilizing CID detectives, local officers, and specialists. They're analyzing witness accounts, CCTV, and forensic evidence, and seek assistance from the public.

To ensure community safety, additional officers will patrol the area. Local residents are advised to remain alert and report anything suspicious to the police at 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously.

DCS Conway recognizes community concerns and asks citizens to continue with their routines but to stay vigilant during the investigation. The police are collaborating with the Tower Hamlets council to maximize resource deployment for this situation.
