Wilko, a UK retail chain that collapsed earlier this year, is set to return to the High Street before Christmas. The owner of The Range, which acquired Wilko's website after its collapse, plans to open up to five Wilko shops. The first two will be in Plymouth and Exeter.
CDS Superstores, the owner, will prioritize former Wilko staff in the recruitment process. This move is in response to the strong public attachment to Wilko. The shops will offer various products, including cleaning items, DIY supplies, and household goods, catering to holiday shoppers.
This marks a significant development in the UK retail landscape, reviving the Wilko brand on the High Street.
