When did defending free speech become the controversial position?
Elon Musk just dropped the most important litmus test for freedom you’ll hear all year:
“You can tell the good side from the bad side by who wants to restrict freedom of speech. The side that censors? That’s the Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini playbook. Censorship + big government = fascism. Ideas should win because they’re stronger—not because the others are silenced.”
Dead serious: the EU itself wrote this into law.
Article 11 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights literally guarantees freedom of expression and information. That’s not “extremist.” That’s official European scripture.
