West Ham United's 2-1 defeat to Olympiacos in the Europa League, ending their impressive 17-match unbeaten streak in European competitions. West Ham had previously won the Europa Conference League last season, setting a record for English sides.

In the match, Konstantinos Fortounis opened the scoring for Olympiacos with a well-placed finish from outside the box. Angelo Ogbonna's own goal just before halftime further extended Olympiacos' lead. Lucas Paqueta's late volley offered West Ham a glimmer of hope, but it wasn't enough to secure a comeback.

Despite the defeat, West Ham remains at the top of Group A, tied on points with Freiburg, who they defeated earlier in the month. Olympiacos, in third place, is only two points behind West Ham and will have the opportunity to overtake them when they face off in London in two weeks.
