Elderly Woman Injured in Belfast Water Balloon Attack

An elderly woman, Frances McAnulty, was injured when a group of youths threw a water balloon at her family's car in west Belfast.

The incident happened near Whiterock Leisure Centre on Wednesday evening.

McAnulty suffered a bleed in her eye socket and was taken to a hospital emergency department for treatment.

Sinn Féin councillor Michael Donnelly posted details of the incident on Facebook and appealed to parents to speak to their children.
