Net Zero Secretary Mairi McAllan stated that more time is needed to address these policy shifts. While the plan isn't legally required to be finalized until March 23, 2025, the delay has raised concerns, and environmental stakeholders have called for a plan that adequately addresses climate challenges and policy reversals.
