Two Scottish dads, Scott Hollas and Prof Donald Bloxham, have warned other parents about the potential dangers of participating in school sports day.
Both of them ended up in hospital after the parents' race, with Scott tearing the ligaments in his leg and Prof Donald suffering from ripped hamstrings.
They both ended up taking time off work due to their injuries.
Scott, who is not a regular runner, participated in the dads' race at his daughter's sports day, but ended up getting a severe pain in his knee and had to be taken to A&E.
Prof Donald, on the other hand, was confident that he could replicate his previous victory at his daughter's beach sports day, but ended up collapsing three times on his way home.
The two dads are advising other parents to be careful and not to put too much pressure on themselves to perform, as it can lead to injuries.
Scott Hollas injured himself at a school's sports day event where parents were allowed to participate in a running race.
Now, the school has changed the rules to either the egg and spoon race or the sack race.
Scott managed to avoid the sports day this year, but the event is still talked about every year on
Facebook.
He does not mind and finds it funny.
