A Vietnamese father discovered that his daughter was swapped at birth through a DNA test, as reported by the South China Morning Post.

The father became suspicious when his daughter, Lan, grew into a teenager and bore no resemblance to either him or his wife.

The DNA test confirmed she was not his biological child, leading to family tensions and accusations of infidelity from both parents.

Eventually, Lan and her mother moved to Hanoi, where at a birthday party, another mother noticed Lan's resemblance to her own daughter, born the same day.

Subsequent DNA tests revealed that Lan and her friend had been switched at birth.

Both families are now in regular contact and are planning to disclose the truth to the girls, with the consideration of potential legal action still open.
