Victims of Epstein Abuse Request Approval of JPMorgan's $290 Million Settlement

Epstein's victims have asked a US judge to approve JPMorgan's $290 million settlement over claims the bank turned a blind eye to Epstein's sexual abuses.

24 June 2023 · 03:46 UTC

The settlement covers women who were sexually abused or trafficked by Epstein from 1998-2019.

JPMorgan terminated its relationship with Epstein in 2013, but is accused of missing red flags and staying in touch with him after his official departure.

The bank has denied any involvement in Epstein's sex trafficking.

The victims' lawyers are seeking up to 30% of the settlement amount for legal fees.

JPMorgan faces a lawsuit over Epstein from the US Virgin Islands and is also suing Epstein's former colleague Jes Staley to cover its losses in that lawsuit and a class action.
