Blinken also rejected China's criticism of the US ban on exports of high-end semiconductors, stating that the ban is not aimed at seeking "economic containment" of China.

The US wants to see growth and success in every part of the world, but it is not in the interest of the US to provide technology to China that could be used against them.

Blinken also emphasized that the US does not support the independence of Taiwan and stands by its stance of maintaining the status quo, while expressing concerns about China's provocative actions towards Taiwan.
