United Nations Expert Calls for Full Implementation of Supreme Court Ruling on Legal Definition of Sex

United Nations Special Rapporteur Reem Alsalem has urged the United Kingdom government and devolved administrations to uphold the Equality and Human Rights Commission's draft guidance following the Supreme Court's ruling on the legal definition of sex. She warned that continued political opposition could weaken statutory protections for women and girls across the country.
