The White House and Vice President Kamala Harris have clarified that Ukraine had no role in the deadly attack at a Moscow concert hall, which resulted in over 130 fatalities.
Following Russian President Vladimir Putin's insinuations of a Kyiv connection, official statements have emphasized that ISIS, specifically its Khorasan branch (ISIS-K), is solely responsible. The assault, attributed to ISIS via a claim on Telegram, involved gunmen killing at least 137 individuals at the Crocus City Hall.
Despite Putin's suggestions of Ukrainian involvement, evidence points to the attackers' intent to flee towards Ukraine, implicating no Ukrainian collusion as per President Volodymyr Zelensky.
ISIS-K, known for its aim to establish a wide-ranging Islamic caliphate and numerous attacks in
Afghanistan and Pakistan, has been identified as the perpetrator, aligning with its history of violent extremism despite facing opposition from the Taliban.
