Ukraine's armed forces have reportedly used British-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missiles against military targets inside Russia for the first time.

This development marks a significant phase in the conflict, now ongoing for 1,000 days.

The usage comes after the UK approved the missiles in response to Russia's deployment of North Korean troops, which the British government deemed an escalation.

This issue was a primary focus at the recent G20 summit in Brazil, where US President Joe Biden had already authorized Ukraine to use long-range ATACMS missiles.

Reports indicate Storm Shadow missile debris was found in Russia's Kursk region and two missiles were intercepted over Yeysk in the Krasnodar region.
