UK Treasury Proposes Higher Electricity Generator Levy and Updated Mileage Allowance Rules

The Treasury has introduced Ways and Means resolutions that include raising the Electricity Generator Levy from 45 to 55 percent and increasing the income tax-approved mileage allowance to 55 pence per mile, as part of adjustments for the 2026–27 fiscal year.
