UK to Ban Palestine Action as Terror Group

The UK government has announced plans to officially classify Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation following a break‑in at RAF Brize Norton in which activists used electric scooters to vandalise two military aircraft with red paint and crowbars.

Interior Minister Yvette Cooper described the group's actions as deliberate threats to national security, warned that membership or support could result in up to 14 years in prison, and emphasized that peaceful protest remains protected.

The move has triggered protests in London, where demonstrators clashed with police amid widening debate over freedom to dissent.
