The aid workers were employed by World Central Kitchen.

Mitchell expressed the British government's unequivocal condemnation of the killings and demanded a quick and transparent investigation, which should be shared with the international community, and full accountability.

Separately, Foreign Secretary David Cameron took to Twitter to express his disapproval, having spoken with his Israeli counterpart, Israel Katz.

Cameron emphasized that the deaths were completely unacceptable and urged Israel to provide an explanation for the incident and make significant changes to ensure the safety of aid workers operating in the region.
