Conservative campaign director Tony Lee and his wife, candidate Laura Saunders, are under scrutiny, leading to Lee's leave of absence.

Craig Williams, a former ministerial aide, is also being probed for betting one hundred pounds on the election date.

Moreover, a member of Sunak's police security detail has been arrested for a similar offense.

Sunak emphasized that anyone found guilty will face legal consequences and be expelled from the party.

The scandal comes as Sunak's party trails Labour by around 20 points, with potential for a historic shift in power.
