British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has issued a formal apology following the release of a damning report on the government’s handling of child grooming gangs.

The Casey inquiry highlighted systemic failures in tracking abuse and called for comprehensive reforms, including better data collection on offenders’ ethnic backgrounds.

Cooper announced that all 12 recommendations will be adopted to restore trust and improve child protection.
