The ballot will close on July 27 and offers successful applicants the opportunity to live, work or study in the UK for up to two years.
The visa costs £259 and applicants must meet financial, educational, and other requirements.
The scheme is free to enter, but applicants must only enter if they plan to apply for the visa.
In addition to the visa fee, there is a £940 healthcare surcharge and a requirement to prove £2,530 in personal savings.
The scheme was launched as a reciprocal arrangement between the UK and India and is seen as an effort to strengthen the ongoing free trade agreement negotiations.
Previous ballots have been met with high demand, and it is recommended that applicants apply as soon as possible.
