The change, which comes after successful trials at Gatwick, Stansted, and Heathrow, means that over 400,000 children aged 10 and 11 are expected to use the e-gates this year.
This change will make travel easier for passengers and strengthen the security of the UK border, according to Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick.
The e-gates are currently available at 13 airports in the UK, as well as the Eurostar terminals in Brussels and Paris.
However, the e-gate service has experienced difficulties in the past, including an IT issue that caused lengthy queues at Heathrow in May.
