Broadband Satisfaction Survey found that over half of UK broadband customers experience problems with their service, despite providers raising prices by more than the rate of inflation.
Connection issues, such as dropouts and slow speeds, were the most common complaint.
All providers had persistent issues, and the scale of the problems added "insult to injury" given that many customers saw their bills increase by more than 14%.
The biggest providers with the lowest proportion of customers who did not experience any issues were Sky, Virgin Media, and EE, while BT had the highest proportion.
Some 14% of those who reported issues were left without internet for at least a day.
The cost of living crisis is also mentioned in the article, with a mention of the cost of energy bills and mortgage rate hikes threatening a "significant drag" on the housing market.
BT has been leading the way in social tariffs since 2008, with around 80% of the market being supported.
Customers who are eligible for social tariffs can move penalty-free at any point in their contract, and this applies to BT, EE, and Plusnet customers.
