UFO Sightings Were "Misidentification Of Ordinary Objects": Pentagon Report

The Pentagon's 63-page report affirms there's no evidence of UFOs being extraterrestrial, attributing most sightings to common objects or misperceptions.

Despite their findings, officials expect the public's belief in alien visits to persist, influenced by media and online content. This report forms part of the US government's transparent analysis of UFOs, including congressional hearings and NASA discussions.

Persistent rumors claim the government has engaged in secret alien research and technology retrieval, but the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) insists there's no proof.

Factors like unseen experimental tech and drones are believed to contribute to UFO reports since the 1940s. The AARO's review of classified and public records and past UAP inquiries has found no concealed programs related to alien tech.

Despite claims like those made by former intelligence officer David Grusch, who told Congress in 2023 he believed the US held alien artifacts based on various sources, the AARO emphasizes a scientific approach to its investigation rather than debunking public assertions. They assert that all purported secretive UAP-related programs don't exist, are misunderstood legitimate security efforts, or are defunct.
