The highly anticipated undisputed heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk is unlikely to take place in December as originally planned, according to promoter Frank Warren.
Fury, the WBC champion, and Usyk, the WBA, WBO, and IBF champion, have agreed to face each other in a historic clash to determine the undisputed heavyweight champion.
However, Warren believes it's unrealistic for the fight to happen in December, citing the need for Fury to recover and prepare properly. The fight is now expected to take place in early 2024. Negotiations for the bout took nearly a year before being finalized in September.
