Following the attack that led to at least 139 fatalities, where assailants in camouflage opened fire and set Crocus City Hall on fire, Russian authorities detained 11 individuals.

The suspects, identified as Tajik nationals Rachabalizoda Saidakrami and Shamsidin Fariduni, faced no travel restrictions. Russian President Vladimir Putin attributed the attack to "radical Islamists" with possible links to Ukraine, while the Islamic State has claimed responsibility, circulating explicit footage of the incident.
