In Fordingbridge, Hampshire, two 14-year-old boys have been formally charged with the kidnap and rape of a girl of the same age.

The incident reportedly took place on January 17 at a local recreation ground.

Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the charges include additional serious offenses.

One of the accused faces charges of rape, threats to kill, possession of a knife in a public place, and kidnap or false imprisonment with intent to commit a sexual offense.

The second boy is charged with rape, threats to kill, and kidnap.

The case was presented at Southampton Youth Court, where both accused appeared.

Additionally, a third boy, aged 13, has been released on conditional bail as investigations continue.

Authorities were alerted to the situation at 10:41 PM on the day in question, though the incident is believed to have occurred earlier in the evening.

The victim is currently receiving support from specialized officers.

Fordingbridge, known as the northern gateway to the New Forest, is a small town located 21 miles west of Southampton.
