Turkish parliament's general assembly has yet to schedule a final vote to confirm Sweden's membership.

All NATO members must agree for a new country to join, with Hungary currently being the last member yet to initiate the ratification process.

Following Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine, Sweden, along with Finland who joined NATO in April, sought membership, departing from their longstanding neutrality.
