Tuffnells, a UK-based delivery company with 33 depots and serving over 4,000 business customers, has entered administration.

12 June 2023 · 22:48 UTC

More than 2,000 people have been made redundant, while just 128 staff members will keep their jobs.

The administrators, Interpath Advisory, were called in when the company failed to secure further funding.

The pandemic, rising costs, and competition had been affecting the company.

Deliveries have been suspended and are not expected to resume in the near future, resulting in the majority of staff being made redundant.

The administrators will try to minimize disruption to customers and will contact them to arrange parcel collection.

Staff will be given support to make claims from the state's redundancy payments office.
