A Tube driver in London has been suspended after appearing to lead a pro-Palestinian chant on a London Underground train. Video footage posted online showed the chant being led over the train's speaker system, with the words "free, free" and passengers responding "Palestine."
Transport for London (TfL) has suspended the driver pending a full investigation. TfL's chief operating officer, Glynn Barton, stated that they are thoroughly investigating the incident.
The chant was criticized by Minister for London Paul Scully, who urged Tube staff to focus on their duties and avoid stoking tension in the city. The Israeli Embassy expressed concern about the incident, emphasizing the importance of public transport being a place of safety and inclusivity for all.
