Visit set for when Parliament is in recess, avoiding direct address

Former U.S. President Donald Trump will make an unprecedented second state visit to the United Kingdom this September, with King Charles III hosting him at Windsor Castle.

The visit has been scheduled to coincide with Parliament's recess, effectively sidestepping any contentious address to lawmakers, and reflecting efforts to minimize political tensions that marked Trump's first visit.
