Tributes Emerge for Victims of Historic Station House Fire in Northamptonshire

Families of Emma Conn, Mayci Fox, and Louie Thorn express profound grief after deadly incident
Families have publicly honored the memory of three individuals who tragically lost their lives in a fire at a historic former station house in Northamptonshire.

The victims are believed to include 30-year-old Emma Conn and her four-year-old daughter Mayci Fox, both residents of Desborough, as well as 23-year-old Louie Thorn from Rushton.

Official identification of the victims remains pending as investigations continue.

In a statement released by the police on Wednesday, Conn's family described the mother-daughter duo as 'two peas in a pod.' They shared the deep pain of their loss, stating, 'Mayci-Moo was the double of her mum – so full of life.

She was the happiest little girl you could ever meet.

Emma and Mayci will always be loved, lost but never forgotten.

As a family, we are utterly devastated; it just doesn’t feel real.'

Kyle, the father of Mayci, described her as a 'wild and loving whirlwind,' expressing the unimaginable grief of a future without her.

'Mayci Marion Georgina Fox arrived in the world in a last-minute rush, starting the way she meant to go on, as a whirlwind,' he recalled.

'Becoming her dad was amazing.

The first thing I picture when I think of Mayci is her smile.

She was always smiling, being happy and cheeky, and it was impossible to stay cross in the face of that beautiful smile.'

Mayci’s grandmother, known as Nanny Wend, described her granddaughter as 'our crazy, beautiful and wild little girl,' adding the sentiment of loss felt by the family, 'I don’t know what we’re going to do without her.'

Louie Thorn’s mother, Tiffany, provided a heartfelt tribute, highlighting his character, saying, 'Everyone who met Louie liked him because he was so genuine, caring, kind and trusting.

These qualities made me so proud to be his mother, but they also made him quite a vulnerable soul.' She reflected on his selflessness, stating, 'He would always go out of his way to help anyone who needed it, often with no thought for his own safety.'

Thorn's father, Lee, shared his memories, saying, 'Louie was my special boy and from the minute he was born, I wrapped him in cotton wool.

I will always have amazing memories of him and all the things we did together.

We spent so much time together, and I needed him just as much as he needed me.' The family’s tributes illustrate the profound impact of the loss as they navigate their grief in the aftermath of this tragic event.
