Golden Goose, the Italian brand known for its 'shabby chic' trainers popular with celebrities like Taylor Swift and Chris Hemsworth, announced plans to list on the Milan stock exchange in June.

Owned by British private equity group Permira, the Venice-based company aims to raise €100 million by floating at least 25% of its shares.

The offering could value Golden Goose at €3 billion, including debt.

This move is expected to invigorate Europe's recovering IPO market, which has faced challenges due to inflation, pandemic lockdowns, and geopolitical tensions.

Despite a recent slowdown in the luxury sector, Golden Goose reported a 17% increase in net revenues for 2023, reaching €587 million.

CEO Silvio Campara stated that proceeds from the IPO would be used to reduce debt and expand into younger markets in South America, Africa, the Middle East, and India.

The IPO follows recent listings by major firms like CVC, Galderma, and Puig, signaling a positive trend in Europe's IPO market.
