Louis O’Regan, an Irish motorcycle racer residing in Didcot, England, tragically lost his life following a crash during the opening qualifying session of the 2024 Manx Grand Prix.
The accident occurred at Kate’s Cottage on the 37.73-mile Mountain Course around 16:50 BST.
O’Regan, 43, first competed in the Manx Grand Prix in 2013 and achieved a 12th place finish in the Newcomers A Race.
His best lap speed was recorded at 114.7 mph during the 2019 Junior Race.
The session was halted after the accident, and organizers expressed their condolences to O’Regan's partner Sarah, as well as his family and friends.
