Tragedy Strikes Again: Submarine Titan Sinks, Killing All On Board

The Titan had made the voyage to the Titanic three times, once a year since 2021, and was intended as an annual event for tourists to see the shipwreck up close.

The Titanic lies at a depth of about 12,500 feet and was not discovered until 1985.

The vessel is driven by a reinforced Logitech game controller and touch screens and communication with the mothership is via text message.

However, previous trips in the Titan have also encountered issues, which have raised concerns about the safety of the vessel.

On March 12th, 2023, a submarine belonging to James Cameron, the Canadian-American film director, sank in the Atlantic Ocean, resulting in the death of all 126 people on board.

This tragedy has been compared to the "Titanic disaster itself" by Cameron, as the submarine's captain was reportedly "repeatedly warned" of the danger of colliding with icebergs in the area.

The exact cause of the sinking is currently unknown, but an investigation is underway to determine the cause.
