Tina Turner, the iconic singer and actress, has passed away at the age of 83

Tina Turner, a legendary soul singer known for hits like "What's Love Got to Do with It" and "Proud Mary," has died at the age of 83.
Celebrities and fans have paid tribute to Turner, who was known for her powerful voice, passion, and talent.

Beyoncé called her "the epitome of passion and power," while Sir Mick Jagger praised her as a "wonderful friend" and "enormously talented" performer.

Turner overcame years of domestic abuse and was praised as a "survivor" by Mariah Carey and Oprah Winfrey.

The Obamas and current US President Joe Biden also paid tribute to Turner, who started life as a farmer's daughter and was hailed for her "once-in-a-generation talent." Turner's publicist announced her death on Wednesday, but no cause was given.

She found fame in the 1950s with the Ike Turner Revue and later as a solo star in the 1980s.

She is being remembered for her iconic contribution to music and her bravery in speaking out about her experiences with domestic abuse.

The tributes to Turner have come from all over the world, and many have quoted her songs or cited her as an inspiration.

Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, and many others have paid homage to Turner, calling her a "survivor," "incredible performer," and "the epitome of passion and power." Turner's relationship with fellow singer PP Arnold also played a significant role in Arnold's career, and many other musicians have spoken out about the impact Turner had on their lives.

Angela Bassett, who portrayed Turner in the biopic "What's Love Got to Do with It," praised the singer for showing others "what a beautiful future filled with love, compassion, and freedom should look like." Fans around the world have also taken to social media to express their condolences and admiration for Turner, with candles lit outside her home in Küsnacht, near Zurich and flowers laid on her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
