Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood has been interviewed by the Metropolitan Police for the fourth time in connection with allegations of non-recent sexual offences that are said to have occurred between 1982 and 2016.
The investigation follows multiple allegations from 18 women of serious sexual misconduct and abuse by Westwood, which were uncovered by BBC News and The Guardian. Westwood has denied the allegations.
He stepped down from his Capital Xtra radio show in April 2022, but has continued to perform at gigs despite calls for nightclubs not to host him. An external report commissioned by the BBC is set to be published this year to examine the corporation's knowledge of Westwood's conduct during his employment.
