The Met Office forecasts thundery showers on Saturday and warmer temperatures are expected to reach 27C or 28C, with a small chance of it hitting 29C, north of London.
The hottest temperature in the UK so far this year was 25.1C in Porthmadog on Tuesday.
Hay fever sufferers may experience weeks of itchy eyes and sneezing due to high levels of pollen in the Midlands and south of England, as well as all of Wales and Northern Ireland until Friday.
