Three teenage girls have been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a 75-year-old man in north London.

The victim, identified as Fredi Rivero, was attacked on Seven Sisters Road, Holloway, shortly before midnight on Thursday and died in hospital on Friday after receiving treatment at the scene.

The girls, aged 14, 16, and 17, who cannot be named due to their age, were originally arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) prior to the man's death.

They remain in custody as investigations continue.

A special post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

This incident has prompted a murder investigation by the Metropolitan Police, with DCI Paul Waller leading the case.

Waller stated that various lines of inquiry are being pursued, including forensic analysis and CCTV review.

Superintendent Annmarie Cowley, who oversees policing in Islington, acknowledged community concerns regarding the incident and assured residents that a thorough investigation is underway.

Cowley confirmed that additional police patrols have been deployed in the area to provide support and to gather further information.

In an unrelated incident in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Police reported that a man was stabbed multiple times after officers had previously responded to a safety concern involving a woman at the location.

The man, who was found in a vehicle with severe injuries, was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police have classified the incident as attempted murder and are conducting a detailed investigation.

In Bristol, 19-year-old Morgan Dorsett has been identified as the victim of a suspected dog attack involving an XL bully breed.

The attack occurred in her residence, leading to her immediate death.

Authorities have arrested two individuals on charges related to the management of a dog dangerously out of control, and the dog has since been euthanized.

Additionally, five teenagers were arrested following a stabbing incident involving a 17-year-old boy during what appeared to be a party in Nottingham.

The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while emergency services have been on-site to manage the situation.

Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding these incidents to come forward to assist the ongoing investigations.
