Three Sons of Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh Killed in Israeli Airstrike, Two Grandchildren Wounded

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh's three sons, Hazem, Amir, and Mohammad, and two grandchildren were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza on Wednesday.
The men were in a car that was bombed in Al-Shati camp.

A third grandchild was wounded in the attack.

Haniyeh has been the public face of Hamas' diplomacy during the ongoing conflict with Israel.

His family home was destroyed in a previous Israeli airstrike in November.

Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, has stated that the group will not make concessions during negotiations and will not be swayed by the targeting of his sons.

He emphasized that the lives of his family members are not more valuable than those of the Palestinian people.

Haniyeh has been representing Hamas in international diplomacy during the ongoing war with Israel, and his home was destroyed in an Israeli airstrike in November.

Hamas is currently considering an Israeli ceasefire proposal but has expressed that it is intransigent and does not meet any of the Palestinian demands.

In the seventh month of the Israel-Gaza conflict, Hamas is calling for an end to Israeli military operations, withdrawal from Gaza, and the allowance of displaced Palestinians to return home.

Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, confirmed the deaths of his three sons, Hazem, Amir, and Mohammad, along with their children, in a Facebook post.
