The bomb is now being transported to a secure location for destruction.

The MK-84 bomb contains a 430 kg explosive charge.

In 1999, NATO bombed Serbia without UN approval for 78 days to stop Slobodan Milosevic's violence against ethnic Albanian separatists in Kosovo.

Two major incidents occurred in Nis: on May 7, a crowded market was hit by cluster bombs, killing over a dozen people, which was later called a mistake.

On May 12, the city was bombed again with cluster bombs, resulting in the deaths of 11 civilians.
