The Supreme X Missoni Collaboration You Don't Want to Miss

The Supreme X Missoni Collaboration You Don't Want to Miss

The Italian leader in knitwear collaborates with one of the most coveted brands in streetwear culture for its Fall/Winter 2021 collection.

Italian fashion house Missoni, famous for its creative use of colors and patterns, started a collaboration with streetwear brand Supreme for the Fall/Winter 2021 collection.

Missoni's founders Ottavio Missoni and Rosita Jelmini met during the 1948 Olympics in London, whern Missoni was making sports suits for athletes and Jelmini was part of a family-run workshop producing embroidered shawls and fabrics. By combining their skills, they managed to fight the postwar crisis period by focusing their technical knowledge related to knitwear onto a uniquely creative approach.

Missoni's spirit often dealt with identifying abstract prints, graphics, drawings, and patterns from abstract paintings, Guatemalan, Aztec, and Incan fabrics as well as Impressionism and Art Deco. He's also recognized for his chromatic sensitivity through his juxtaposition of shades, giving life to unexpected kaleidoscopic unions on knitted dresses. On the other hand, Jelmini pushed on her passion for fashion and the values of unity when facing the entrepreneurial spirit of Missoni. Together, an incredible partnership led their fashion house to extend its vision from women's and men's fashion collections to lifestyle collections, accessories, swimwear, evening wear, furnishings, and fragrances.

The brand opens a new chapter in the contemporary scenario by starting a collaboration entitled Supreme x Missoni for a Fall/Winter 2021 collection structured with jackets, sweaters, polo shirts, hooded sweatshirts, and hats.

The new Supreme x Missoni collaboration will be available from November 18 and in Japan from November 20.
