A woman captured a terrifying moment on video when a stranger crossed train tracks to harass her at a London Overground station. The incident occurred at Bruce Grove station in Tottenham, and the video shows the man walking over the tracks, climbing onto the platform, and approaching the woman.
She repeatedly asks him to leave her alone, but he ignores her and follows her when she tries to move away. The woman eventually shouted for help, and a brave woman came over to assist her and advised her to run.
The British Transport Police are investigating the incident, and a campaign encouraging people to "safely intervene" if they witness harassment on public transport has been launched. Transport for London expressed regret that the incident occurred and emphasized the importance of everyone feeling safe on TfL's network.
