Teenager Arrested for Sending Abusive Messages to Wife of Arsenal Player Kai Havertz
Arrest made following social media abuse targeted at Sophia Havertz after Arsenal's FA Cup exit
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested by Hertfordshire Constabulary on suspicion of sending malicious communications following social media abuse directed at Sophia Havertz, wife of Arsenal forward Kai Havertz.
This incident occurred after Arsenal's exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Manchester United, where Havertz missed a penalty in the shootout on January 12 at the Emirates Stadium.
Sophia Havertz, who is pregnant with their first child, reported receiving abusive messages on the social media platform Instagram.
The teenager, hailing from St Albans, has been released on bail while the investigation continues.
