Team GB Wins First Gold at Paris 2024 in Olympic Eventing

Great Britain retained their Olympic team eventing title and won their first gold medal at the Paris 2024 Games. Laura Collett, Tom McEwen, and Ros Canter led the team to victory with 91.30 penalties, ahead of France and Japan. Collett also earned an individual bronze, marking a triumphant comeback from a near-fatal fall in 2013.
Great Britain retained their Olympic team eventing title and won their first gold medal at the Paris 2024 Games.

Tokyo 2020 champions Laura Collett, Tom McEwen, and world number one Ros Canter sealed victory in the final showjumping stage at Chateau de Versailles, finishing with 91.30 penalties, 12.3 points ahead of host nation France.

Japan took bronze.

Collett also won an individual bronze, finishing behind Germany's Michael Jung and Australia's Christopher Burton.

This marks GB's first consecutive Olympic team eventing titles since 1972.

Collett becomes the first British woman to win an individual eventing medal since 2008, overcoming a near-fatal fall in 2013 to achieve this feat.
