Storm Debi caused significant disruptions across Northern Ireland and parts of the Republic of Ireland. In Northern Ireland, around 2,000 customers faced power outages, and roads were closed due to fallen trees and landslips. The storm brought strong winds, with the highest gust recorded at 73mph in County Down, and heavy rain, particularly in Glennane, County Armagh.

In the Republic of Ireland, County Galway experienced severe flooding, with one local business owner in Clarinbridge estimating repair costs of up to €1m. The Irish weather service Met Éireann recorded a wind gust of 115km/h in Athenry, County Galway. About 34,000 homes and businesses were left without power, with ongoing restoration efforts.

The storm also impacted flights and rail services, including cancellations and delays at Dublin Airport and temporary speed restrictions on Irish rail trains. An Irish postal worker was hospitalized after being hit by debris but was not seriously injured. Cleanup efforts are underway in the affected areas.
