Jeremy Corbyn’s influence on Labour party policy is officially over, according to current leader Keir Starmer.

Corbyn was expelled from the party after announcing his independent candidacy for Islington North in the upcoming July 4 election.

Despite Corbyn’s 40-year service to the constituency, local Labour members will not participate in shortlisting candidates.

Instead, Labour has selected Praful Nargund, an Islington councillor, as its candidate.

Starmer emphasized his commitment to new candidates and addressing key issues like the NHS over tuition fees.
