These evacuations were carried out as a precautionary measure to investigate the credibility of the threats. France's civil aviation authority confirmed the existence of "bomb threats" and initiated the evacuations at these airports.

The situation is occurring amidst heightened security concerns in France, including the country's highest state of counter-terrorism alert following a recent suspected Islamist attack.

Additionally, recent security scares and evacuations have taken place at prominent tourist sites in France, such as the Palace of Versailles and the Louvre museum. The conflict in the Middle East between Israel and Hamas has also raised security alerts in Europe.
