The 30th anniversary of the Shankill bombing, a tragic event in 1993. Wreaths were laid to honor the nine people killed and over 50 injured in the attack. Lord Dodds of the Democratic Unionist Party attended the memorial.

A church service is scheduled for the exact anniversary date. The bombing, carried out by IRA men Thomas Begley and Sean Kelly, occurred in Frizzell's fish shop as shoppers queued for food.

The victims included John Frizzell and his daughter Sharon McBride, Michael Morrison, Evelyn Baird, their daughter Michelle, George Williamson, Gillian Williamson, Wilma McKee, and 13-year-old Leanne Murray.

The event was organized by the Michael 'Minnie' Morrison Foundation, supporting local children through sport, and aimed to remember the victims and work towards a more peaceful future in Northern Ireland.
