During an interview with BBC's Faisal Islam in Davos, Cameron argued that Russia ought to ultimately pay reparations for the destruction caused in Ukraine.

He proposed that currently frozen Russian assets could serve as an early contribution, potentially alleviating the financial burden on Western nations.

Previously, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt had directed the Bank of England to explore ways to employ Russian state assets in support of Ukraine’s military needs.
