The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has released its first general election manifesto in 37 years, promising significant investment in UK manufacturing and measures to reduce regional inequalities.

Party leader William Clouston announced a £10 billion annual investment plan and policies to ensure public bodies prioritize British products.

The party, standing with 122 candidates, has aligned with Nigel Farage's Reform UK in certain regions.

The manifesto, titled 'Homecoming,' highlights the SDP's commitment to family values, renationalisation, and addressing the 'epidemic of family breakdown.' Founded in 1981 by former Labour MPs, the SDP aims to offer an alternative to the dominant Conservative and Labour parties.

The SDP also has policies on tax allowance sharing between couples with children and a clear stance on sex and gender rights.
